Franciscan University's San Damiano Society
Planned Giving

When you name Franciscan University of Steubenville in your will or trust, or make some other planned gift to Franciscan University, you will become a member of our San Damiano Society.

This special group of donors has at least one thing in common: a commitment to the future of Catholic higher education through their support of Franciscan University. That’s why the society bears the name of San Damiano.

San Damiano was the church outside Assisi, where Christ spoke to St. Francis, calling upon him to “Go, rebuild my Church.” Through contributing to the long-term future of Franciscan University, you are answering that same call.

As a member of the San Damiano Society, you will receive invitations to special campus events, such as the president’s reception after commencement, guest lectures, and concerts.

You’ll also have use of campus facilities, including Finnegan Fieldhouse, John Paul II Library, Development Office resources, and meeting rooms.

And your name will be engraved on a special plaque in Starvaggi Hall.

But the best return you’ll receive on your investment in Franciscan University is the knowledge that your earthly inheritance is helping Franciscan hand on the treasures of the Catholic faith to future generations.
