Father Gregory, Faculty, and Alumni Run to Support the
Spirit of St. Francis Scholarship

Father Gregory and runnersFather Gregory Plow, TOR, director of Franciscan University’s Priestly Discernment Program, led a Franciscan contingent in the 50-mile Burning River UltraMarathon and 100-mile relay on July 29, 2017 in Cuyahoga National Park.

Accompanying Father Gregory, who started long-distance running as a seminarian to give glory to God, were Franciscan University alumni, all former cross-country runners. Another contingent of alumni and Franciscan coaches, including biology professor Dr. Dan Kuebler and theology professor Dr. Alan Schreck, ran the 100-mile relay at the Burning River UltraMarathon.

Your donations in support of their run will go directly to the Spirit of St. Francis Scholarship, which was established to ensure that the joys and rewards of a Franciscan University education are not limited only to those students and families who can afford it. The scholarship enables students of very limited means to receive a top-flight education grounded in the Faith, an education that will bear fruit over decades.
